A tentative schedule for the 2008 educational and volunteer programs for Medina River Natural Area. All events will take place at Medina River Natural Area, 15890 Highway 16 South, San Antonio, Texas. Topics are subject to change. Call the Medina River office at 210 624-2575 for reservations or more information. Meet at the pavilion. Educational events: $2.00 suggested donation per person or $4.00 per family.

Rainwater Harvest & So. Texas Butterflies

Nelson Diarte from Agri LIFE  Extension Agency presents Rainwater Harvesting. Learn how to set up a rainwater harvest system for your butterfly garden.

Then learn what plants will bring those butterflies with butterfly expert Terry Doyle of the Lepidopterists’s Society for an educating stroll through the park to identify host plants for South Texas Butterflies

Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras for great photo opportunities.
