June 16-20 or June 23-27 If you are 7 to 12 years old, come explore and celebrate nature at a week of our hands-on ecology day camps. Meet a bird, a snake, a mammal, a bug, a worm and many of their friends. Do some bird watching, tracking, examining skulls, furs, beaks, feet, nests. Build a bird house. Examine an eyeball. Get down and dirty with worms. Explore the trails of the beautiful hill country with our trained field guides. Art, cultural history, math connections. Project Wild! games. Wild! Week is $85 per child for the week. Limited partial camp scholarships are available. There will be two sessions; June 16 - 20 or June 23 - 27, 2007. Sessions are from 9:00 am to noon. Park in the parking lot and walk up the service road to register in the classroom. Campers should arrive no earlier than 8:45a.m.and should be picked up no later than 12:15p.m. Each day each child should bring a light snack, water bottle, and a backpack. This camp will be partially outdoors in Texas in June, so children should wear comfortable clothes and shoes (closed toe no sandals/thongs). Children should also wear a hat and sunscreen. Camp staff cannot be responsible for lost or damaged backpacks, water bottles, or other personal equipment. Wild! Weeks will be held in Friedrich Wilderness Park. The park is located in the Balcones Canyonlands/Hill Country Region of juniper and live oak clad hills. It has 5 miles of hiking trails, restrooms, and a classroom to facilitate programming when the weather is inclement. |

June 2 - 6 or June 9 - 13 Are you interested in nature? Do you know the characteristics of an insect? What birds live in your back yard? What is scat? Can you identify tracks? Learn about animals, trees, insects, birds and river ecology as you explore the beautiful Medina River Natural Area. Fee for each week of camp is $50.00.
