Friends of San Antonio Natural Areas

…dedicated to promoting stewardship of San Antonio’s Natural Areas, and to the understanding and appreciation of nature through educational and scientific programs.

In an urbanized area like San Antonio, where do you go to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of nature? How can remaining natural areas with their living plants and animals be preserved and protected?  And how can such areas be made available for the enjoyment of people? These are the thoughts which have guided generous benefactors, city leaders, and not least, the people of San Antonio, to work to create a natural area parks system. Thousands of City residents and visitors visit our natural areas on a weekly basis. The Friends of San Antonio Natural Areas exists to support the City of San Antonio’s natural areas parks system.
